Warranty Coverage

Subject to the terms and conditions set out below, Artificial Turf Qld provides a conditional 10-year warranty from the date of purchase against manufacturing defects, including:

• Abnormal discolouration (excluding natural ageing and wear)
• Other proven manufacturing or product faults

At the discretion of Artificial Turf Qld or its appointed warranty agent, an inspection of the installed synthetic turf surface may be required to assess any warranty claim.

Where a valid claim is approved, this warranty covers replacement of the affected turf product only.
Labour, removal, reinstallation, freight, sub-base works, and any consequential costs are expressly excluded.

General Warranty Conditions

This limited warranty applies primarily to ultraviolet (UV) degradation under normal residential or light commercial use and does not apply to damage resulting from:

• Incorrect or non-compliant installation
• Improper base preparation or drainage
• Pile crushing or flattening from misuse or abnormal loading
• Wilful, accidental, or negligent damage
• Damage caused by vehicles, machinery, or heavy equipment
• Installation by non-professional or unqualified installers

This warranty is limited to the original purchaser and the original installation location.

Exclusions – What This Warranty Does Not Cover

This warranty does not cover damage or defects arising from:

1. Accidents, vandalism, abuse, or neglect
2. Burns, cuts, or heat damage of any kind including friction burns from items being dragged oved the artificial grass.
3. Acts of God, including but not limited to earthquakes, floods, bushfires, cyclones, storms, or extreme weather events
4. Use of harsh chemicals, solvents, or improper cleaning methods
5. Failure to reasonably maintain, protect, or repair the turf
6. Damage occurring during shipping or transportation (freight claims must be lodged directly with the carrier)
7. Heat reflection or melting caused by glass, mirrors, metal, or other reflective surfaces
   • Important: Synthetic turf must not be installed within 500 mm of glass fencing or highly reflective surfaces, as concentrated heat can cause irreversible damage
8. Shrinkage, which is a natural characteristic of synthetic turf
   • Cutting and joining should not be carried out in ambient temperatures exceeding 30 °C
9. Normal wear and tear, including fibre flattening or matting from foot traffic, which is not a manufacturing defect

Limitations of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The manufacturer’s and supplier’s liability under this warranty shall not exceed the original invoice value of the turf supplied
• All implied warranties, other than those which cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law, are expressly excluded
• Artificial Turf Qld shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage

Nothing in this warranty excludes or limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, where such rights cannot lawfully be excluded.

Inspection on Delivery

The purchaser must inspect all products upon delivery.

Any defects, shortages, or non-conformities that are reasonably discoverable upon inspection must be notified in writing within 30 days of delivery.
Failure to notify Artificial Turf Qld within this timeframe will be deemed acceptance of the goods as supplied.

Assignment

This warranty may not be transferred or assigned without the prior written consent of Artificial Turf Qld.
Any unauthorised transfer or assignment shall be void and of no effect.
